Heejo Jung
Born in South Korea, moved to Canada, have been settled in Vancouver for 5 years.
Received Bachelor degree of liberal arts in Korea in 2008, made a huge decision to transfer his long term hobby to a job, which is, cooking.
In 2010, desire of new experiences, flew to one of a world biggest multicultural country, Canada.
At the same time he graduated Culinary Management Program at George Brown College in Toronto, had learned through different kinds of fine dine French, Italian, Sushi and Korean fusion in the restaurants and hotels.
After went through enormous kitchen experience about 8 years in Toronto, moved to the west coast, Beautiful British Columbia in 2017.
Heejo is currently, a Sous chef in the Fairmont Hotel Pacific Rim, Vancouver, his continuous of curiosities over 10 years of food industry, finally led him to be on a global stage together with Culinary Team BC, had achieved silver medal at the IKA World culinary Olympics in Stuttgart, Germany, 2020.
He believes in, his unstoppable challenges eventually will bring him to achieve his goal, in another level of well collaborated decent Asian influenced-western dish to introduce people.
